Medical examinations conducted at GAMCA-approved medical centres are crucial for employment in GCC countries. If you are not fit, then your visa will not be approved. Various medical tests are done in certain GAMCA-approved medical centres only. Your regular health checkup certificate is not considered valid for a visa application in this case.
But what is the difference between these two tests? In this blog, we explain the difference for better understanding.
GAMCA medical tests are undergone only when you need to travel to any GCC countries for employment purposes. No need to undergo such tests for any other purpose. It is a mandatory process.
On the other hand, Regular medical examinations are for medical assessment and present health conditions. These tests are done to check out any potential health threats. It is not at all compulsory and depends on your health condition or personal preference.
Gamca medical examinations are compulsory only when you are employed in any GCC country. Whether travelling with family or alone, you must obtain the "Fit certificate" for the visa. Otherwise, you are not allowed. Normally, a GAMCA certificate is required once during a visa application.
On the contrary, regular health check-ups need to be done annually or quarterly, based on your health condition. These tests are preventive health care measures that help people monitor and treat any health issues.
Gamca tests are conducted only at Gamca-approved medical centres. None other than these centres is considered valid for the GCC country visa.
One can choose any diagnostic centre for regular health checks. You can even get these tests done at private nursing homes or hospitals under a physician's advice.
Both medical tests aim to monitor your health conditions. But there are differences between the two. GAMCA medical tests include some specific tests, such as a chest X-ray. A few blood tests, HIV, Hepatitis, physical examination, etc, are included in the GMA medical tests.
If you want to find GAMCA medical centres, you can register at the GMA Online Service. Once you are successfully registered, dedicated medical centres for the tests will be allocated.
Registration is done online only. No other modes are valid and are not accepted by the medical centres. There is no guarantee that you will get the nearest medical centres. It is compulsory to carry the appointment slip with you on the day of the tests. You need to pay a certain amount for these tests.
The regular health assessment and the GAMCA medical test serve different purposes. There is no similarity between these test frequencies or the list of health assessments included. Your regular check-up reports are not accepted in GAMCA medical centres. Even if you are healthy and fine as per your regular health evaluation, you still need to undergo the GAMCA medical tests from approved centres.
